July Fourth is a wonderful holiday. You remember that you live in a country where you can be anything. Everyone comes together to watch fireworks and you stand next to them with your hand over you heart and smile with appreciation.
We woke up and had our traditional DSMB (Dunlap Saturday Morning Breakfast). I ran to the grocery store to get a few things for dinner. Dave finished laying out the pine straw in the front yard.
Clay and Kelly came over around 5:00 for dinner. Steak and chicken fajitas, mexican rice, guacamole, salsa, red peppers, and sweet tea... yummy!
After dinner we went on a search for a nice spot to watch Thunder on the Mountain. We found the best view EVER and there were only a few cars around so we were able to stake a nice claim.
Here's Clay and Kelly.

And here we are!

Here's my sweet, handsome husband...

The Oswalds showed up eventually accompanied by a few boxes of popper and sparklers and their adorable kiddos Mandy, Nathan, and Spencer!
Here's Dave and Nathan having fun with poppers...
And here's the Oswald's enjoying the sparklers and their 1st Fourth in Bham!

And for the finale... here's the fireworks that exploded over Vulcan's beautiful shiny booty.
Enjoy!
