Yard work and one great concert!

It has become a Dunlap tradition in our home to have breakfast Saturday mornings. Today I made turkey bacon, cheese, and egg biscuits. They were yummy and just what we needed before a long day of work.

And by work I mean... yard work. Dave and I have been very busy and distracted by other things going on that we have really neglected our yard for a few weeks. I took on the juniper in the front yard which includes pulling weeds and fighting off wasps. I also trimmed one of these back and for everyone's sake out there... wear long sleeves and gloves when you attempt this. My arms are slashed to pieces right now.

Dave took care of the mowing, weed-eating, and edging. I also trimmed out crepe myrtles back and am so ready to see them start blooming in the next few weeks. I know, I know, I am a bit late on my trimming.

After yard work we showered and caught up on our DVR shows.

Then we got ready for DAVID WILCOX! We have been looking forward to this show for weeks. Our good friend Geoff also loves him so we made a night of it. Geoff can sing just like David Wilcox it's scary. That's talent. Here's Dave and I pre-concert.

And, here's a sort clip of Wilcox that I was able to get. It was an amazing concert! Like a really long storyteller that can sing exceptionally well.

After the concert we were hungry so we stopped by Taco Bell for a midnight snack before heading back home.

Another wonderful day with the Dunlaps. We felt young again staying out late and not falling asleep on the ride home. It felt good.
