Dave + Sarah = Love :)

Today Dave and I celebrate 3 wonderful years together. This is us in beautiful Jamaica on our wedding day!

I spent this morning cleaning house because I knew I wouldn't be able to on Saturday. 

Then I ran to the store to get supplies for our camping adventure. Some smore supplies, beefy rib-eyes, and bug spray.

Dave got off work and headed home to load the Jeep. He left for Oak Mountain while I went to feed his parent's dogs. I got back home and loaded up the pups and the rest of our gear.

When I got to our campsite Dave had a nice fire going, some citronella candles, and a nifty rope line for the dogs. Here' s the only picture I took because I was having too much fun.

After setting up the tent and getting a few other things situated we began to cook one awesome meal. And I mean awesome!

You know when you cook steaks over a fire and they get a little crispy on the outside but are perfectly done on the inside? You know... when you reach steak perfection? That's where we were. And it was GOOD along with our instant potatoes and green beans. Wash that down with a bottle of Shiner and we could not have been happier. 

We followed that by a few really good smores. 

We sat around the fire just the two of us and talked of memories and life and I looked at Dave a couple of times and just thought about how blessed I am to have him. He is strong but humble, loving and honest, hard-working, and driven by a faith that is unshakable in a way that makes me feel so safe being his wife. So blessed.

Dave and I love each other and we love camping and actually having time to get out and enjoy nature. It was the most perfect anniversary I could have asked for.

3 years down and a lifetime to go!
