Hopefully, I will begin updating with photos in a few days. I have to document our BIG move! The last month has been a whirlwind for us and it seems that it's one thing after another. The insurance adjuster went and looked at my car yesterday and estimated $6,000 worth of damage not including what is under the hood (which he couldn't open). They will be able to better access it in Alabama when they can take it apart. It's sitting outside our apartment right now reminding me everyday of what I did to it.
So here's the story...
I was on my way to pay a ticket for expired registration, which is a whole other story in itself. I get lost in Hickory Creek and have to turn around. So, I pull into a parking lot, turn around, and didn't see that car coming from the left. It plowed into the front of my car full speed. To make matters worse, it just happened to be a High School parking lot I was turning out of and the other driver was an old lady. She shook her little finger at me probably thinking I was some punk high school kid. She didn't even ask if I was ok as I crawled out of the passenger side of my car and could barely walk. I stood their shaking uncontrollably, alone until Dave got there and gave me a big hug. I just had to stand there and pray for God to just hold me. I think that was almost as worse as the wreck itself; no one there to comfort you.
So, that's it. It stinks. But, life goes on and cars are just cars. At least I'm ok. If the lady would have hit me only a few feet back I might not be walking. Praise God for that and for the humbleness and reliance these situations bring. As they say, you would never learn to appreciate the warmth of the sun on your face without the rain...

Crap.
So ten days before we are suppose to move 10 hours away.... my car sits in a collision yard awaiting its fate. Don't worry, I am still walking. Crap.
